A LABORATORY OF CREATIVITY, CULTURE AND INNOVATION
For forty years, the Istituto Europeo di Design has been operating in the fields of Education and Research in the disciplines of Design, Fashion, Visual Arts and Communication. Today it is an international network constantly on the growth.
The scope of the Istituto Europeo di Design is in fact, to offer young professionals the most efficacious tools necessary to answer the constantly evolving demands of the production world: a project and communication culture that will accompany them throughout their careers.
THE PROJECT CULTURE
The "project culture" is the core of a flexible education pathway that is based on the blending of "knowing" and "knowing how"
In order to answer to current market demands for competent professionals, our study curricula are constantly updated and taught by selected professionals coming from each specific field.
Partnerships with foremost enterprises is a fundamental issue in the Istituto Europeo di Design's education strategy, which characterises the entire education pathway of both courses and special end of the academic year events.
And generates strong personal motivation in students called to invest in their own success.
THE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK
In almost forty years, Ied has trained in its five seats (Milan, Rome, Turin, Madrid, Barcelona and San Paulo in Brazil from February 2005) 70.000 students coming from 85 different countries.Every year, in Italy, more than 1.600 foreign students attend IED courses.
A school in continual growth that offers a wide range of educational programs.
Almost 300 courses for each specific level and age : from three-year courses to master courses, summer and specialization courses.

THE SCHOOL OF THE IED SYSTEM
As evidence of its vocation towards innovation and development the Istituto Europeo di Design has created a total reality in its structure and through its offers.
IED Moda Lab, IED Design, IED Arti Visive and IED Communication are all truly real Schools of the "IED System", that answer the needs of the working world, through education pathways targeted to the specific needs of the reference industries and that are flanked by a common design project culture.
Moreover the "system" approach to professional world, our teaching methodology, and the sinergy between our schools (thanks to seminars, projects, exhibitions, events) assure a complete general and specific preparation.
Thanks to its territorial growth, IED plays more and more the role of Culture and European Design Projects Ambassador participating in numerous countries in cultural, economic and environmental issues and organizing exhibitions on "Made in Italy" and Italian Design, realised both in Italy and abroad in collaboration with public and private Associactions and Italian Cultural Institutes
