Museum of Science and Technology Milan

The National Museum of Science and Technology "Leonardo da Vinci" is based in Milan, in the old monastery of San Vittore al Corpo via S. Vittore 21, in the vicinity of the place where Leonardo possessed some land planted with vines, at the time just outside the city walls. It is also not far from the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, where is the famous Last Supper and the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio. The museum with its 40,000 m² total is now the largest scientific-technical museum in Italy and owns the largest collection in the world of machine models manufactured from drawings by Leonardo da Vinci.

In 2008 it was visited by 379 686 people despite being closed to the public from 9 June to 16 September 2008.

The museum belongs to the "Foundation national museum of science and technology" who is also the managing body.
